Yes, it’s another blog for me (I am slightly blog-happy. See sidebar for the list). After much discussion, worry, and prayer, we have decided to begin homeschooling our kids as of mid-April 2009.

For the last three years, they have attended Zera Hall in Oregon City, OR where my friend Amy Hayes has done sort of a tutoring/homeschooling thing with them (basically we pay her to homeschool our older three kids). Amy has done a fabulous job and we couldn’t be happier with her methods and results, but our current financial situation dictates some educational rearrangement and soon I will be taking over.

Currently I am both excited and mildly worried (this is upgraded from “more-than-slightly-terrified”). To combat this, I’ve decided to blog. This way I can keep track of what I research, have a throughline for progress, hopefully be a little better accountable regarding classtime consistency, encourage the three other people who might read this blog (or at least give them something to laugh at), and not bore my family to tears with educational philosophy by posting it on my regular family blog (again, see sidebar). Yay!
